Saw Karl Marx's head in Chemnitz today and can finally scratch that off my oddities list ✅
The city was known as Karl-Marx-Stadt in East Germany but the name was changed back to Chemnitz after German reunification.
Fun fact: Locals call the monument "Nischel" ("skull" in the local dialect).

I first wasn't sure whether seven weeks in Mexico

I first wasn't sure whether seven weeks in Mexico would be too long, but as my time there was almost over I realized that seven weeks were nowhere near enough.

I unfortunately don't go home that often and have now spent almost half of my life abroad so I feel like am only now starting to really get to know Mexico.

During this trip I got to visit some parts of the country that were new to me so I experienced more of the country's diversity. It took me a long time to appreciate Mexico but with every visit I become more fascinated by it, maybe because of the distance and the fact that it feels foreign and familiar at the same time but also because there's still so much for me to discover there.

I'm also glad to be back in Germany tho. As refreshing as it was to be back in Mexico my life has been here for a long time, and I didn't even get to enjoy Berlin after moving back here so am looking forward to a dope summer in the city.

Didn't actually take that many pictures this time around for some reason but I'll start uploading what I have soon 🙌🏼
